8.1 Nose Slide
The nose slide is a good exercise for your first noseturns and later noserolls. If you get into the nose slide position in a controlled manner, this will help you to make a controlled noseturn later on without skidding through.
Get into the nose slide position
Start side slipping normally and shift your weight over the nose. Try to mentally slide down the slope on your front foot. Don't do this on a steep slope, as you will then usually edge up too hard and stand at a very steep angle, which makes the exercise much more difficult.
From fullbase to nose slide
Moving from the full base to the nose slide position is the most comfortable option and the most important for your first noserolls and noseturns. Start at full base and turn into the sliding position. During this process, shift your weight to the front foot and only edge with this foot.
If you do the nose slide on the backside edge as in the video, make sure you always have more weight on your heel so that you don't catch an edge. It is best to try this on flatter terrain.
Jumping into the nose slide
Sliding into the nose slide was too easy? Then try jumping into the nose slide position. The most difficult thing is to absorb the weight from the jump and not lose the pressure on the nose.
